ECE student Zhou receives the 2008 IBM Problem Solving Award

Zhen Zhou received the "2008 IBM Problem Solving Award Based on the Use of the EIP Tool Suite" at the IEEE 17th Topical Electrical Performance on Electronic Packaging, held Oct 27-29, 2008 in San Jose, California.
The award recognizes outstanding contributions by students in solving the most interesting problems using IBM's Electromagnetic Field Solver Suite of Tools called the EIP tools. Zhou, a PhD student working with Prof. Kathleen L. Melde, received the award for making innovative use of the EIP tools in her research project related to measurement sensitivity of Short Pulse Propagation. Dr. Barry Rubin of IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center handed the award to Zhen Zhou.
